The France-South Asia digital library seeks to collate digital documents that shed light on the relations forged between France and this region of the world throughout history. Initially centred on India, it now also includes the neighbouring countries of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, which share a common history. The BnF is happy to present this first prototype of a digital library on the history of representations and relations between France and South Asia, particularly India. Still undergoing modifications and expansions, it will be the seventh site in the Shared Heritage collection when it opens.
